Dr. Roderick L. Robinson, Jr.

Cutting edge, forward thinking, and passionate are a few words that describe Pastor Roderick Robinson Jr.  A prolific preacher and teacher of the gospel, he’s native of Apalachicola, Florida where he actively spent his childhood and was proudly educated in the local public school systems.  He graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and received his Master’s in Counseling and Psychology in 2012 from Troy University.  In 2014, he completed his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.  

 

While serving under Bishop Horace Solomon Jr. at New Life FBC church, he was licensed as a minister at the age of 21 and ordained as an elder at 23.  During this period of time, he served as the Youth Pastor and Associate Minster. In addition to his ministerial responsibilities, he has served in the several community organizations, including: The Community Redevelopment Agency, the Board of Directors for the Apalachicola Public Library and as the General Treasurer and youngest member on the Executive Board of Directors for New Covenant First Born Church. He’s also an educator who has held numerous positions in the K-12 school and Florida College Systems, including teacher, guidance counselor, and representative, and director, to name a few.

In October of 2018, he accepted to call to serve as the 8th pastor of Greater Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL.  He is the visionary and founder of Leadership Bootcamp, a one day leadership summit designed to empower designed to empower and develop local church leaders into becoming leaders of excellence. An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Robinson is widely known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives.

 

God has given him the assignment of preaching and teaching the Word of God in a way that generates growth, transformation, and elevation.   He believes teaching the gospel is essential in laying spiritual foundations that produces life changes!”
